This looks menacing. But it is just a flower bud of a gourd tree. We may have dismissed things like this in our everyday life. However, armed with a camera, I seek out the hidden and tiny things to capture in the garden. In macro mode, this fragile flower bud seems like a huge globe snugly protected by its soft thorns.
