Picture taken in Georgetown, Penang. It’s an actual name of a narrow street. It was by pure chance that I walked by this street after my meeting, while waiting for my wife to give me a ride home.
It was a bright afternoon and I fire the flash on purpose, knowing very well the reflective sign will light up, giving me the glowing effect I wanted.
Narrative
Yes, love is in the air – it’s February 14th, it’s Valentine day.I wonder if couples who worship this day, will find “loving” significance in this picture? Well if not, do read on…
Valentine’s Day is one of those days which I am very happy for business owners, such as restaurants and florists and perhaps many hotels too. It’s one of those days when they can make major profit with ease… ALL in the name of LOVE!
Lovers out there… if you think splashing your hard earned dollar$ on expensive meals and flowers, will enhance your love for each other… think again! Maybe take a walk down Love Lane while you are thinking about it!
Love is a journey we travel on daily. It’s a narrow street! There are uneven stretches and even potholes to surprise us all. We do that daily and when we successfully end the day with our love intact, we should always celebrate by appreciating the person we love. A simple kiss or a simple “I love you” suffices. There is no need for us to wait for just ONE DAY in a year, joining the mad rush for flowers and restaurant bookings, spending so much hard earned dollar$ just to do something we can all do daily…
So, take a walk down Love Lane… daily…
