Website - Shamshahrin graduated with a Diploma in Photography from Uitm Shah Alam in 1994 majoring in Photojournalism and minor in Fine Arts.
He was a photographer for The STAR from 1995 until 1999, then joined a French newswire agency, Agence France-Presse (AFP) in the Kuala Lumpur bureau early 1999. He later joined the European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) as a photojournalist in 2003 till now.
Having served in the internationally- recognized agency, his works has been published in local and foreign newspapers and most of the well known magazines such as Life magazine’s website (photo of the day), Time, Asiaweek, Far Eastern Economic Review and more.
Shamshahrin represented Malaysia for the Asian Photography and Film Exhibition in Gwangju, Korea in 2005.

Parliament House later today.Compared to yesterday, the weather has been so generous to me today. I dropped by Tasik Perdana while on my way to cover the Budget presentation at the Parliament house later on the day. The sky is clear, the light hits the water and created a rainbow. It would have been nice if I could include a person (in a bright orange shirt preferably..!) in the photo. But then again, I had to rush!
